Bittersweet Symphony

Since moving to Lancaster I have been vocationally challenged. By this I don't mean that I can't find a job; instead, I have been thinking deeply about what it means to be employed – what does my work say about how others see me, and how I see myself? It has been an enlightening process; however, it has also been a financially unrewarding process. This image was the result of some of the frustration and unhappiness that would bubble up; focusing those emotions into producing this piece helped me let go of some of those negative feelings.
